Preference to select four cities:

This year, candidates will get the chance to choose four cities, where the examination centres are located. They can choose the cities in the order of preference. The centres and cities will be assigned to the candidates only after the final date of CAT registration for 2018. Therefore, candidates are recommended not to rush to block the cities and slots in the beginning dates of registration. The convening authority has assured that the authorities will try to allocate the cities in the first preferential list for candidates. In the uncommon instance, in case a candidate is not given any of the chosen cities, they will be given an alternative city.  However, candidates cannot choose the session as the allotment will be made randomly.
